ANOTHER TIME“ by Nahid Hasan Zad’h has been officially selected to participate in the (International Competition: Women Director’s Films)of the Kolkata International Film Festival 11-18 Nov 2016.
The festival acknowledges the films made by women directors, from all across the globe and have therefore dedicated a separate competitive category to their films.
82 min , feature film produced 2016 – Iran, Another Time is about Ghadir, a chemical plant worker, protesting against being unpaid for over a year, is arrested during a demonstration and imprisoned without trial. He’s released one year later with no explanation given.On arriving home he finds his daughter, Somayeh, has given birth out of wedlock…
Marion Hänsel, Aleksandra Biernacka, Archana, Ibolya Fekete, LI Shaohong as jury members will award The following prizes:
- Best Film : A cash prize of Rs. 51,000,00/- (76000 USD appx.) to be shared equally
between the Director and Producer. Director is to be given the GOLDEN
ROYAL BENGAL TIGER and a certificate in addition to the cash component.
Producer will get a certificate in addition to the cash component.
- Best Director : GOLDEN ROYAL BENGAL TIGER, a Certificate and a cash prize of Rs.
21,00,000 (31000 USD appx.).
- Special Jury Award : GOLDEN ROYAL BENGAL TIGER and Certificate only.
The cash award for the Best Film is the single largest cash award at any International film festival till date.
